tried and tested

  1. it has been used and it is indeed satisfying or guaranteed good and safe. this phrase is used especially in promoting products. or let's say it was put into a trial and it has been proven that it was good or it wasn't at all. it can be applied even in relationships. e.g. it has been tried and tested but our relationship didn't worked at all. ; e.g. this shampoo has been tried and tested but i still have lots of falling hair.
